What is the use of resveratrol in fertility

Well, clearly for fighting free radicals and improving the quality of eggs and sperm. I'll explain...

Today, we are probably living the most toxic time in human history. Still, the body is surprisingly capable of neutralizing both external poisons and internal poisons quite successfully and to some degree. Increasing age itself is a clear example of natural oxidation, but increased exposure to harmful substances and the consequent production of an excessive number of free radicals is putting our protection systems at risk.

An unbalanced diet, little rich in quantity and variety of vegetables and fruits, both raw and cooked; toxic consumption habits such as the habitual intake of alcohol, tobacco or other substances; continued exposure to pollution from cities; anxiety, rush and stress or lack of oxygenation of tissues through sports are sources of oxidation for our tissues.

Fighting free radicals to boost fertility

Free radicals are highly reactive and have a great affinity for cell membranes, that is, they really like to adhere to them. In this way, they become true cell destroyers, being able to enhance almost any pathology. To combat these free radicals, the body has more than 600 antioxidant substances that work in a chain, some helping and promoting the work of others.

Among these antioxidant substances, pure Resveratrol has proven to be very useful in maintaining good health with age. In recent years, more than 1.000 research articles have been published on this powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory.

It is a natural component in plants and vegetables that helps protect them from harmful insects, parasites, bacteria and fungi. In the human body it does the same thing. Especially in its combination with Vitamin C, another great antioxidant, it achieves preventive effects on cardiovascular disorders, is capable of influencing the regulation of blood glucose levels and is capable of modulating body fat levels.

Resveratrol improvement of the quality of sperm and eggs

The quality of reproductive cells, both female and male, is not exempt from alterations due to free radicals and excess oxidation. In fact, the inverse relationship between age and fertility is based on excess cell oxidation. And the same happens with the increase in possible chromosomal alterations.

The alarming decline in the quality of human sperm is currently evident. This, together with the delay in the age of conception of the children, creates a disastrous combination for the success of fertility, both natural and supported by assisted reproduction processes.

An extra dose of antioxidant support is shown to improve the quality of reproductive cells.

In addition, pure Resveratrol has been interesting to improve the damage that frozen sperm can suffer as well as to improve the integrity of sperm DNA, which we call DNA Fragmentation, whether single-stranded or double-stranded.

In the case of women, resveratrol seems to have benefits on the quality of the follicles where the oocytes are going to grow and improve the expectations of success of ovarian stimulation. It has also shown to be able to counteract the harmful effects of overweight and metabolic syndrome. By improving insulin sensitivity, it is also recommended for cases of hyperandrogenism or polycystic ovary syndrome or PCOS.

How can I consume the Resveratrol?

You can consume resveratrol through your diet, enhancing foods rich in this substance such as grapes, red wine, nuts or dark chocolate.

Strangely, for fertility, just chocolate and especially red wine, would not be the most suitable foods with resveratrol, but not natural grapes and nuts, so you can consume resvetrol directly in grape extract tablets. Here is a link to some examples:

Another very common way to take a resveratrol booster when we are trying to get pregnant and want to combat infertility is through tablets that you can consume with a controlled dose or through powders that you can include in your recipes, juices and smoothies.

A good idea is to take resveratrol already inside a vitamin tablet to enhance fertility and thus you do not have to add another tablet or take it separately along with some vitamin C to enhance the antioxidant effect and enhancer of hormonal regulation.
